As the others have also mentioned, I too was having range issues until I found the latest software update on Amped's website. After upgrading the range increased about 20% and I had no issues connecting any of my devices. My entire home was covered including my garage which was always a trouble spot with other routers. I have owned another Amped device before, the repeater, and I loved it. Gave this a shot and was initially disappointed until upgrading the software. I am strong proponent of this company although my only complaint is that I had to upgrade the product for it to perform to my expectations.
Beyond that, the product's 2.4 and 5G coverage is much better than my previous router. I have gone through a few from my service provider to other high end N900 routers. This router (w/ the upgrade) beats them in range and Internet speeds are good. Documentation is very clear and the packaging is beautiful.

I got this router and like the other comments I was a little disappointed with range. I was just kind of dealing with it, it was still better then my netgear dual band router, but it didn't give me the coverage i was expecting. Amped Tech support contacted me and said they have addressed the issue with firmware upgrade. After the upgrade the range was much better! I couldn't believe that they proactively made the changes the customers were complianing about (I emailed tech support) and then contacted me with the update. The total experience was awesome. This is a great company and thanks for a great product with great support

So I was having problems connecting my iPad to this router from some far rooms in my home and thought there was something wrong with it since it claimed long range. I called the support number that was included in the box and got a hold of a "Concierge" from Amped. He explained to me that there was a new software update available and walked me through how to download and install it. He was very nice and patient with me given my lack of computer knowledge.
After we were done updating he patiently waited on the phone as i walked around my house with my iPad and checked the connection. It worked! Everywhere! I'm now very happy with this product as well as Amped going above and beyond to make sure this worked for me. My iPad works in my backyard and throughout my home with this router (much further than my previous one)
I just wished I knew about the patch without having to call!
